if fresh is usually better serve chilled. white wines, zifandels, reisling, chardonnay, sangria, wines, candy, etc. are better placed in the refrigerator for at least 30 min. ot dry wines red wines such as Cabernet, Merlot, Cabernet are fine at room temperature.
