I'm meeting my boyfriend's parents for the first time, and stay in your home.?
I'm American and I am dating a guy English majors. We long distance, but we are semi-often, since I live in Germany. I have been invited to visit just after Christmas in his hometown with his family (who lives far away there). We located in a room in his parents' house, where his brother and sister also lives. They sound like lovely people, and even we are preparing a Christmas dinner, and he's going to work more Christmas, and I'm away from my family. My question is how I can make a good impression with them. I would like to bring a small gift to show my appreciation. I was thinking of a good German wine, because that is where I live, it would be a kind of personal. As a side note outside me, I know that they take. I have met many English people, especially since coming out with one, but I do not know what to expect and if "the parents' meeting" is big business in England, is a pretty big step in the U.S.. I would appreciate any idea.
