What are the rules for carrying wine on a plane?
Recently I went to Napa and bought three bottles of wine for gifts. I am visiting my family tomorrow and I wondered how I was going to take me. "It is fair to them to check my bag, or carry it out and confiscate if you do that? I do not think can move on, or I can with a special permit or something? I go from LAX to Kansas City, if that makes a difference. The carrier is Frontier Airlines.
While bottles are sealed closed, then you will have no problem. You must ensure that the bottles are in your luggage (check-in) and not in your luggage handheld. They confiscated if they are in their hand luggage. I bring wine to the U.S. from Spain every year and never had a problem so do not worry. If you have any further questions, I found a very informative site: http://www.wineintro.com/wineries/ airplane.html
