Shipping of alcohol through the mail?
I have several unopened bottles of different alcoholic beverages (wine, cognac, etc.) that gave me as gifts over the years. Do not drink alcohol at all (hate the taste!) And some of the bottles are something valuable I am hoping to sell online to treat to get some money out of it. But the problem is how to send it to the buyer. I know that the Post Office does not allow shipment of wine, which was returned to treat sending in the past. I'm in Michigan, and would probably be shipping within the U.S.. I can not use a warehouse or a shipping wine bottles because I have with my house, I'm trying to get rid of – hopefully with at least a little spending money to boot. Does anyone know of any transport company finally allows the delivery of alcoholic beverages (wine, cognac, etc) private?
Unfortunately the rules governing this almost prehistoric. No individual or business without a license may include alcohol to any destination by any means. Even authorized entities have problems due to differences in state to state and because they have no license can not be sold anyway. Some of the answers indicate that there are ways to get around it, unfortunately, in most states illegal sale or shipment of alcohol is a felony and can lead to jail. What are donating to a charity auction and take rightoff taxes? Be careful
