What would be a good gift for my girlfriend's parents (I am in the meeting for the first time)?
I'm meeting my girlfriend's parents for the first time. We have heard you should bring a gift, but we're not sure why. We are traveling from New York to Edinburgh, Scotland, as usual gifts of wine and Flowers are not appropriate. I do not want to think I'm coming on too strong, so my girlfriend and I think it would be better to get something from us both. What do you think would good? There are no flowers or wine! Thank you.
