The Zamna, the vessel that represents the program, was in the process of building about a year. In late July, the ship's construction was completed at 2:00 pm and Saturday, July 25, the ship 400 tons was set at sea – a difficult task that was carried out by the manufacturers themselves. The spectators went to see the event, and noted with calm and patience – Although definitely enthusiasm – during the five hours' duration. The ship's captain, Vital Alsar, Fleet said the ship very well. He added that not a single drop of water entered the boat which confirms the quality and skill with which the builders working under Oscar Camarero, built the spacecraft.

At the time the ship entered the sea, was baptized with coconut milk instead of the traditional bottle of wine. Regina Diaz Gutierrez, a niece of Manuel Diaz Rubio, entrepreneur who has organized the project, there was the "godmother" of the project and the baptism of coconut milk is held in your name.

By the captain of the ship, a tugboat operator saw the boat and was so surprised to see that while the ship was under the bridge of Alvarado, grabbed some wires and caused a blackout in the town, which was repaired within 4 hours.

Now that the boat is in water, the next step is to add 30 tons of weight to stabilize. This have been completed, the port inspector will inspect the vessel and verify that it is seaworthy and that everything is in good working order, authorization for the ship to sail. The ship is currently on location of building in Alvarado, Veracruz, where it will head to Cozumel. After sailing to Cozumel, scheduled for 25 August, the ship was headed to Miami, Florida, and many other destinations on their way to Greece.

In the first leg of its journey, from Veracruz to Cozumel The stops will Zamna Dos Bocas and Coatzacoalcos in the state of Tabasco, where he has been a celebration of recognition provided. Another interesting fact about boat trip that Captain Alsar has asked King Juan Carlos of Spain to serve as captain of the ship for his arrival in Asturias, the first port where the ship arrive to that country. Alsar has also asked Spain's Queen Sofia to welcome Zamna in Greece, the final destination of the ship before returning to Cozumel. Captain had made a similar request to the king Juan Carlos when he sailed the Marigalante to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the discovery of America. (The idea of Marigalante was originally designed in 1980 for a project called Sea, Man and Peace.)

The crew is made up of Mexican, Canadian and Spanish.

The ship was built by the experienced master builder Oscar Camarero a team of 36 carpenters. They built the boat in a temporary shipyard in the port of Alvarado, Veracruz. The construction process began in July 2008.
