Kate and her sister Fiona Lamont personally oversee a wine and food business covering a 10 000 case winery, sourcing grapes 3 wine regions (Swan Valley, Margaret River and Frankland River), two doors from the basement (Margaret River and Swan Valley), a restaurant CBD (East Perth), and a restaurant beautiful lakeside winery in Yallingup (Margaret River wine region). Ms Lamont has over two decades of experience in the food and wine tourism and is the current Chairman of Tourism Western Australia. She loves to know what they have found to be the best food and wine through the experiences of Western Australia to treat to attract more visitors to come to unlock the full range of world class food and wine in Western Australia.
When we are in the city that always head to the Witch's Cauldron of garlic shrimp! Yum! I have fond memories of Leeuwin Estate in Margaret River – the restaurant is charming and accompanying wines actually make the food. I went with my family once and will definitely return. I also love going to Fremantle and pigging out on fresh seafood at Cicerellos the atmosphere is cheerful and the food is always great.
