Tips for Wine Tasting Etiquette
Many people, especially first time visitors to the wine country, I do not know what to expect a wine tasting. We are often asked is pleased to offer tips and advice to help our customers get the most out of your first experience of wine tasting.
Eat breakfast: one containing proteins, fats and complex carbohydrates. This ensures that your level of blood sugar is stable and you maintain their resistance tasting.
Do not wear lipstick: oils cling to fine crystal and distort the taste of wine.
Not use strong perfumes: The use of strong perfumes or aftershave to the winery is certainly a misstep. strong aromas dominate the bouquet of delicate wine and also affect the taste buds. The one carrying the smell probably not be as affected as those around them to be educated.
Foresee Tasting fee: While there are wineries that let you taste for free, most wineries have tasting fees ranging from $ 5 to $ 25 per person. Some quit, by buying wine and some include a complimentary souvenir glass.
Wear comfortable shoes: Wineries are farms more or less and is likely to do some walking around the grounds or simply in the parking lot of stone to reach the entrance.
Do not put too many clothes: Wine Country Casual means you can never seem too good, you just do not want to seem too formal. Napa and Sonoma are typically ten degrees warmer than San Francisco, but bring a jacket for the cave tours. Some high-end restaurants to apply for a jacket, but never a tie.
Plan ahead: If you really want to enjoy every drop of wine, consider hiring a guide. Leaving the driving and route mapping experts to save time, effort and a DUI. (They are really serious here in Wine Country!)
The most important thing is to relax and have fun! Armed with these simple tips, you will be as well prepared to enjoy the real beauty of the wine in the comfort zone that no one imagine it is the first time.
